Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Access
- You can only enter the studio during the time you have it booked. Your booking time includes set up and tear down time. You have access to washrooms shared with other occupants of the building.
- The studio is in a building shared with other occupants and therefore soundproofing is not guaranteed.
- Any overage of time will be charged per hour at $120 per hour plus HST.
- You may not leave equipment or items at the studio unless agreed in advance in writing by email with the co-owners.
- You are responsible for the use of the space during the booking and ensuring that guests follow the studio’s code of conduct.
2. Cleanliness
- Please leave the studio in the same clean and orderly condition as you found it. Remove all personal items and dispose of any trash properly.
3. Damages
- Renter is responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing any damage caused to the studio or its contents during your booking period. This includes but is not limited to equipment, furnishings, and facilities. Any damages must be reported immediately to the studio manager.
- Any damaged seamless paper (stained or ripped) that requires its removal from the roll will cost the Renter $10 per foot.
4. Use of Amenities
All bookings include access to the following amenities:
- Chairs and tables
- Access to bathrooms
- Kettle, filtered water
- Wifi access
- Bluetooth speakers
- Air filters and fans
- Privacy tent with mirror
- Seating area with couch and coffee table
- Extension cords and power bars
- KN95 / N95 masks and hand sanitizer
For Production booking, your booking also includes:
- Apple boxes
- Sand bags
- C-stands
- Seamless paper
- Fabric backdrops
- Hand-held clothing steamer
- Makeup chair and table
- Stools
5. Post-Session Contact
- After your session is completed please confirm with the Studio Manager the condition of the studio.
6. Rescheduling and Cancellation
- 1 month or more in advance: Full refund, no change fee.
- 2 weeks to 1 month: 40% refund or 25% change fee.
- 5 days to 2 weeks: 10% refund or 50% change fee.
- Within 48 hours: No refund.
- Exceptions for catastrophic events will be considered case-by-case (e.g., illness, death, COVID, or accidents).
7. Disputes
- Any disputes regarding the usage of the space will be brought forward to Strast Media in a timely manner. In the event that either party does not or cannot agree, then the dispute will be handled by external arbitration in Ontario and cannot be appealed once a decision is made.
